The “DORD”(drone) : the central note/chord of life is the base for all the musical landscapes I compose. The Dord is the sound at the centre of our being. I believe that through the emotional energy of the singer or player, the Dord is forced to ripple into a melody, but always striving to return to its own sound, it is this dialectical tension that creates tunes and melodies. When they are come from with the Dord, they enter us in a profound and affecting way. They resonate within us, as the sound of the river, the skies, the very earth itself.
